Special Characters

This function allows you to insert special characters not available directly via the keyboard. A number of common special characters are available from the menu. Clicking on More Symbols... displays the following dialog:

The Insert Special Character dialog:

DLG_Insert_SPChar

Just select the font you want to use, then select the character and click on Insert to insert it in the editor at the current cursor position.

You can increase the size of the character map for easier viewing by dragging the bottom right corner of the dialog window.

Note that in most output formats the font you use must be installed on the user's computer for special characters to be displayed properly! This is particularly important for help formats like HTML Help. If you need characters from special fonts here it is better to use small graphics.
