Important Information

PP Updater does not create new skins! It only transfers your customized configuration settings from one existing skin or template to another existing skin or template – for example one from an updated version of the Premium Pack.

The Premium Pack Updater is a small utility that copies your configured settings from one Premium Pack skin or template to another. You can use it to transfer settings from old skins when the Premium Pack is updated and between skins from the same PP version. You can also use it to transfer settings from 1.4 and earlier versions of the Premium Pack for Help & Manual 5 to 1.5 version skins for Help & Manual 6.

Instead of reconfiguring your new skin manually you just select the old skin containing your settings and transfer them to the new skin with a single click. You can choose which groups of settings to transfer; this makes it possible to copy settings between skins with different color schemes and between vertical and horizontal tab skins.

Using PP Updater

1.Start the Premium Pack Updater by selecting its entry in the Help & Manual program group.

2.Click the Load button in the Source group to select the old skin containing your customized configuration settings.

3.Click Load in the Target group to select the new skin you want to configure.

4.Select the settings you want to copy, the click Copy to transfer the settings.

Tips and information:

You only need to use the utility to transfer settings that you have changed. All standard settings will remain unchanged.

You can select target skins directly from the Templates folder in the Help & Manual program directory. PP Updater will prompt you to select a target folder for the new copy.

Only select Copy colors & styles if you are transferring settings between matching skins or templates!

PP Updater doesn't copy any editing changes you have made to the code of the skin templates. You still have to do that yourself.
