MOBILE_IOS_SCROLL

Many iPad and iPhone users are not aware that they can scroll elements like the navigation pane with two fingers. This message is displayed the first time they view your help to explain it to them.

Default text: Use two fingers to scroll contents and topics on iPad and iPhone!

MOBILE_INCOMPATIBLE

This is the message displayed automatically when users try to view your help with an incompatible device (Android smartphone or less capable phone browsers like Windows CE, Blackberry etc.). It is only displayed if you do not redirect your users to another address (see below). When the user clicks away the message they are then returned to the last page they were visiting.

Default text:

Sorry, this online help is not compatible with your mobile browser!

MOBILE_IPHONE_HIDE3FRAME

Settings: true / false
Default: true

The iPhone already has a very small screen and if your help has a third frame activated this can make the help even more difficult to view. Turning this option on deactivates the third frame when viewed on the iPhone to make the help easier to view.

MOBILE_ANDROID_REDIRECT

Settings: http:// address
Default: empty

Entering a URL here will automatically redirect Android smartphone and tablet users to the alternative address when they view your help. If you leave this field empty these users will see the MOBILE_INCOMPATIBLE warning when they visit the site instead.

Important: You must enter the full URL here, including the http:// prefix!

MOBILE_OTHER_REDIRECT

Entering a URL here will automatically redirect users of older smartphones (Windows CE, Blackberry, Series 60, Symbian) to the alternative address when they view your help. If you leave this field empty these users will see the MOBILE_INCOMPATIBLE warning when they visit the site instead.

Important: You must enter the full URL here, including the http:// prefix!

MOBILE_IPHONE_REDIRECT
MOBILE_IPAD_REDIRECT

If you want you can also redirect iPhone and iPad users to different addresses instead of allowing them to view the normal help. Normally, you will only want to do this for iPhone users – the help works acceptably well on the iPad.

If these fields are empty the normal help will be displayed on these devices.

Important: You must enter the full URL here, including the http:// prefix!
