Update: New SnipSVG screen capture and graphics editor
Our new free SnipSVG screen capture and screenshot editing tool is a powerful screen capture and screenshot editing solution with many new capabilities. It is the modern successor to Impict and we strongly recommend using it instead.
Above all, it uses the modern SVG vector graphics format that displays image elements with the same quality at all zoom levels. It can save in both SVG directly and its own SnipX image format. Both formats can be used directly in Help+Manual and both will export as SVG from your Help+Manual projects.

Setting your default image editor
By default the Image Editor tool in Project > Tools starts the Impict graphics editing program included with Help+Manual. You can change this to a different graphics editing program in View > Program Options > General.
Opening images in your default editor
By default the Image Editor tool in Project > Tools starts Impict. You can change this to SnipSVG or any other graphics editing program in View > Program Options > General.
Documentation
Impict and SnipSVG both have their own separate help and documentation. Press F1 in each program.
