Amazon now uses ePub instead of mobi

Amazon no longer supports their old mobi format for eBooks. They have switched to the standard ePub format instead. The Amazon Kindle eBook export option now generates EPUB books configured correctly for Amazon Kindle.

Kindlegen compiler for mobi removed

Support for the old Amazon Kindlegen compiler for the mobi format has been removed since it is no longer available and not supported by Amazon.

Kindle Previewer

When Kindle ePub export is ready Help+Manual will now attempt to locate the Kindle Previewer and use it to open the eBook for previewing.
