Just type your prompt in the box and click on the Send button. The result appears in the chat.

Copying the result to the current topic

You can easily copy the response to the current topic. Click on it to select it, then right-click and select Copy Chat Selection to Topic.

Select part or all of the current topic, then click on the Attach button and select one of the Attach Selection options.

Attaching as text or XML

You can attach it as text or as XML. ChatGPT understands Help+Manual XML and if you attach the selected text as XML you can also ask ChatGPT to provide its prompt using the same XML.

"Please write a single paragraph summary of the selected text and insert it at the beginning of the current topic using Help+Manual XML."

ChatGPT will then summarize the selected text and respond with a complete copy of the topic in Help+Manual XML, including the requested summary at the beginning. You can then right-click on the response and send the formatted text back to the topic.

Editing, revising, translating etc.

You can select all or part of the current topic and ask ChatGPT to process it in any way you like. For example, you could ask it to translate, proofread or summarize the selected text, or to improve or change your writing style.

Creating new content

Just create an empty new topic and ask ChatGPT to generate the content you want. Then right-click on the result and transfer it to your topic.

You can attach files as well as selected text using the Attach button.

However, this is only to provide information to ChatGPT for your prompt — for example, to request a description or analysis of an image. You cannot then transfer the image to your topic. You need to transfer the text result and then insert the image in your topic normally.
