DeepL Write is DeepL's new AI-based grammar, spelling and style assistant. It is included in the DeepL Translator plugin (Plugins in the Project tab).

Requirements

You need to get DeepL Translator set up with a paid tier account to use DeepL Write. See Machine translation with DeepL for details on this.

Limitations

DeepL Write is still in the early stages of its development. It supports a limited number of languages and only returns plain text. In some cases you may find that you get better results with the ChatGPT plugin.

Using

1.Select the topic you want to process with Write, then open the DeepL plugin in Project > Plugins and select the Write tab.

2.Select the text you want to process in the topic. It appears automatically in the top area of the plugin pane.

3.Select the tool you want to use — grammar/spelling, style or tone — and click on Rephrase Text.

4.The processed text appears in the box at the bottom. Then click on Apply Text to replace the selection in the topic.
