The direct Markdown export is selected like any other format in the Publish screen. There are no options to select. See Markdown for AI Training for details on how you can improve your content for AI ingestion.

How your project is exported as Markdown

•Generates all topics as .md files by defaut, but the file extension can be freely selected in the output field.

•The index.md file contains the table of contents.

•If a project summary has been provided in the project configuration settings (Configuration > Common > Language, Title Version), it is included below the heading as a block quote in index.md.

•Image export is somewhat simplified, with the images in a subfolder. In most cases, images are exported as PNG files.

•If the Description field in Topic Options , it is exported as a block quote directly below the topic heading.
