Topics are the main components of your project. Each topic is a separate file, which is like a word processor document. These files are stored inside the main project file if you use the single-file .hmxz format and in your project folder if you use the uncompressed .hmxp format. (Help+Manual Basic uses the compressed format only.)
You manage your topic files and your Table of Contents in the Project Explorer. Before starting with this chapter, please study the chapter Using the Project Explorer – it contains important information that you need to be familiar with before you start working with topic files.
