We’re pleased to announce the release of the Premium Pack 6.1 maintenance update. We performed an in-depth security audit in response to the reports on the as-yet unreleased Anthropic Mythos model regarding its abilities to find and exploit security vulnerabilities. Not much was found in this audit — essentially just a couple of quite arcane potential weaknesses, but those holes have now also been patched.

If you already have Premium Pack 6 or 6.0.1 you can download and install the update with the credentials you received when you purchased. Otherwise you can purchase it here or get an upgrade here if you are updating from version 5 or earlier.

All skins: More online protection
Further hardening against possible online vulnerabilities based on AI penetration testing.

Installer: Checks for default graphics tool
More granular checks for the presence of SnipSVG and/or Impict in your Help+Manual and choice of the most recent version as the default.

Toolbox Utility: Improved handling of bad files
The Toolbox utility should now warn gracefully whenever an opened project or skin is invalid or defective in any way.

Magazine skin: Special characters
Titles and captions were not escaped for special characters in some situations.

Skins with keyword index: target selection
If a keyword was referenced in more than one topic the popup for selecting the topic to jump to could be empty.

Language files
The V5 Modern Flexible skins were missing translations for some search strings in the German version. The comments in some language files still referred to versions of Help+Manual prior to 9.

DeltaFTP: Spurious file changes on server
Help+Manual sometimes generates small changes in the same graphics files when re-exporting WebHelp. Version 1.0 avoided having to re-upload these files by only comparing the data portions. Unfortunately, this resulted in a server tampering warning on the next sync because of the file size mismatch in the new checksum file. These files are now included in the smart upload file list to avoid this problem.

DeltaFTP: Detect server throttling
Checks added to back off with concurrent uploads if server throttling is detected. (This is different from the check for the number of concurrent sessions allowed on the server.)

Modern Minimalist Skins
Incorrect build option prevented permalink source from being exported.
