Version 9.0.2 comes with an optional French user interface. This is a somewhat risky step for us, because nobody here speaks French and we neither can evaluate the quality of the translation, nor can we provide email support in French. But we wanted to give to a try, though. Please consider the French user interface as “beta test”, you can always switch back to English, if something doesn’t work. The translation is courtesy of Christophe Willefert, a French user of Help+Manual. Translation errors are courtesy of EC Software.

Help+Manual 9.0.2
- User Interface: in addition to the default English and German UI, Help+Manual comes with an optional French user interface. Please consider the French version as a beta test. You can switch back to English any time.
- Word Export: image styles have been implemented for DOCX/Word export. These were missing in 9.0.
- PDF Export: if a topic anchor was placed on an empty line, this line became zero height in print.
- HTML Help (.chm) Export: the new scripts in version 9 caused an error on older Windows versions prior Windows 7.
- Topic Editor: improved mouse hints for images formatted with an image style
- DeepL Plugin: critical bug fix, the texts < > and & were shortened to their unescaped value (< > &) and therefore lost in the translation process.
- PDF Snippets: PDF files with special non-ASCII characters could not be loaded
- Publishing tasks: in the variables overwrite tab, some optical glitches have been fixed. When one or more of the variables in the list was overwritten, after a reload of the variable list, the very last variable in this list was also flagged as “overwrite” no matter if the value was different or not.
Translation Assistant 9.0.2
- Topic Editor: improved mouse hints for images formatted with an image style, CTRL+A for select all implemented.
- DeepL Plugin: critical bug fix, the texts < > and & were shortened to their unescaped value (< > &) and therefore lost in the translation process.
eWriter Viewer 3.22
- Small maintenance update for eWriter viewer setup and the distribution package.
- When creating an .ewriter book or EXE-ebook with Help+Manual, the “Home” command (if used in the app menu) was not visible at runtime.
- Setups for both the 32 and 64 bit eViewer offer installation per-user (no admin rights required) or for all users (admin rights required).
- eWriter Help System for Delphi / RAD Studio updated for eViewer 3.x
